You have your first glowing card and you are excited to make it.

Let’s start making!!

Take out everything from the envelope. You will find

A Card Template and some electronic components in a packet.

Open the plastic packet and you will find these components in your packet.

Now open your card.

Remove the paper on holes.

The tree will look like this now.

Open the upper flap. You will find a circuit printed on the card.

Measure the length of pieces of copper tape that are to be pasted on thick grey lines. Tear those pieces from copper tape.

Remove paper from the back of copper tape.

Paste the piece of copper tape on first grey bar.

Now take second piece of copper tape, start from the other pin of LED printed on card and continue till the end of grey bar. Fold the copper tape inside for about 0.5 cm, at the end.

Take third piece of copper and paste it on the bottom grey bar.

NOTE: The copper tape piece for top grey bar should be approximately 0.5 – 0.6 cm extra long than the length of grey bar.

Take the last piece of copper and paste it as shown below.

 

Take out coin cell battery from the battery.

Place it on the circle on card with “+” sign facing up.

Paste copper tape over coin cell like this. Fix coin cell with cello tape.

Place button on its place like this and fix it from the sides using cello tape.

Bend the longer (positive) leg of LED like this.

Bend the shorter (negative) leg of LED like this.

Place the LED on circuit like this.

Fix the ends of LED on the copper tape with cello tape.

Cover the remaining portion of copper tape with cello tape to prevent copper tape’s direct contact with air.

You can press the button to turn the LED on.

 

 

Fold your card like this.

Press the sides of tree from inside like this.

 

 

 

Your Christmas tree will look like this.

 

Fold the card again.

Now, open it.

Press on the “Press Here” block.

You will see your card “Glow”. 🙂
